If you have created a Recurring Expense Template but the actual expenses have not appeared yet, this is usually because the system has not finished generating all of the past occurrences.

This can happen when:

• The start date is far in the past (for example, 1–2 years ago)
• The template frequency is weekly or monthly
• A large number of expenses need to be created to bring the schedule up to today

To prevent performance issues on your website, JiffyTrade generates these records in small batches rather than creating hundreds of expenses all at once.

How to Fix It

1. Go to My Business → Expenditure
2. Open the Recurring Templates tab
3. Locate the template you created
4. Click the Generate Due Now button

This tells the system to create any expenses that should already exist based on the template schedule.

If Expenses Still Appear Missing

If the template start date was a long time ago, the system may need a few passes to fully catch up.

Simply click Generate Due Now again.

Each time you press the button, another batch of expenses will be generated until the template is fully up to date.

Example

Imagine a recurring template configured like this:

• Frequency: Monthly
• Start date: January 2023

If today is March 2026, the system needs to create over 35 expense records.

Instead of generating them all at once, JiffyTrade safely creates them in batches, so you may need to press Generate Due Now a few times until everything is synced.

Tip

After pressing Generate Due Now, you can use the “View Next 5” option to preview upcoming scheduled expenses and confirm the template is now correctly aligned.
