Understanding the Dashboard

13 March 2026 jiffytrade Getting Started

The JiffyTrade dashboard provides a quick overview of your business activity. It helps you see what’s happening in your business at a glance without needing to open multiple pages.

The dashboard is designed to give you immediate insight into your documents, customers, and recent actions so you can quickly understand the current state of your business.

Below is a breakdown of the key dashboard sections.

Paid vs Unpaid Invoices

This section shows the current status of your invoices.

It typically displays:

  • Paid invoices – invoices that have been marked as paid.
  • Unpaid invoices – invoices that are still awaiting payment.

This allows you to quickly see:

  • how much income has been received
  • how many invoices are still outstanding
  • whether payments need chasing

If unpaid invoices remain for a long period of time, it may indicate that a payment reminder or follow-up is needed.

Recent Activity

The Recent Activity panel shows a chronological list of actions that have recently taken place inside JiffyTrade.

Examples of activity include:

  • Documents being created
  • Documents being converted (for example, estimate → invoice)
  • Customers being added or updated
  • Expenses being recorded
  • Documents being marked as paid

This log helps you quickly see what changes have happened recently, which can be especially useful if multiple people manage the business.

Documents Created

This card displays the total number of documents generated within JiffyTrade.

Documents include:

  • Estimates
  • Quotes
  • Invoices
  • Letters

This count gives you a quick overview of how actively the system is being used and how many documents have been created for your business.

Customers Added

This section shows how many customers are currently stored in your customer database.

The customer database allows you to:

  • save customer contact details
  • reuse customer information when creating documents
  • maintain a record of your client relationships

As your business grows, this number will increase as you add more clients.

Why the Dashboard Matters

The dashboard is designed to give you a simple, high-level overview of your business activity without needing to open individual sections of the plugin.

From one screen you can quickly see:

  • your payment status
  • your most recent activity
  • how many documents you have created
  • how many customers you manage

For most users, the dashboard will become the main starting point when opening JiffyTrade.
